An intimate lunch @ Mama's Table

We siblings thought of treating Mom and Dad to one meal @ Mama's Table by Chef Vicky Tinio Clemente. We all convoyed going there, which took 10-15 minutes up a hill. I tried reserving last year but we didn't reach the minimum. I attempted reserving again, supposedly for this meal but was still unsure. Chef Vicky texted confirming my reservation because someone wanted to book the same day, so I replied saying to give it to that person. It turns out the one who booked the reservation was my sister, Mitch... which means we were pushing through after all. Chef Vicky was amused when I told her. :D

Chef Vicky's lovely house
Love the fire place!

Imagine seeing these breathtaking sights everyday? Stress will be far, far away.

The hills are alive...

Cheese and dip platter with these dips... Roquefort, Chili, Mozzarella & artichoke and smoked bangus
I posted 2 angles for a more vivid look. My personal favorites were the Chili and Mozzarella & artichoke.

Caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and mushrooms in an egg shell and bread with anchovies
I was pretty sure I tasted a hint of truffle. This is supposed to be a quiche in an egg shell. Such a clever and yummy dish... one of my favorites! ^_^

French herb infused soup
Herbs are from Chef Vicky's garden.

Parmesan lollipop with marshmallow and thyme
Another clever dish. This is a treat for both kids and adults.

Broiled salmon with leek and corn coulis
Light and tasty... another favorite!

Pork and vegetable dumpling with soy ginger sauce

Seared tenderloin with rissoni with Parmesan, butter and parsley
First time to have rissoni, which I thought was interesting because it's a kind of pasta which seems more like rice... Truth is I could have eaten more. ^_^

Orange, almond and date salad
An interesting trivia shared by Chef Vicky is the French way is the salad is served last which called digestif. It was nice to end a meal with something light and refreshing.

Pavlova with chantilly cream, peaches, cherry and Toblerone sauce

Coffee
Chef Vicky's special blend of highland and lowland coffee.

If you want a more intimate get together in Baguio, this is the place for you. With a minimum of 6 pax, it's P1,500 + 10% per head. Meals for kids, yayas and drivers may be requested, rates will apply. We made the right decision of going lunch time so that we could see the beautiful view. Thank you Chef Vicky for a wonderful experience! It was a feast for the eyes and stomach. ^_^
