Say Seiji

As we were deciding where to have lunch, Mom suggested Seiji, the new Japanese restaurant along Pasay road. The suggestion was welcomed with open arms. Also, I recall a friend giving good feedback about it when she posted a picture in Twitter. As we arrived, I felt the positive energy as we were warmly greeted by the staff (including the doormen). We were pleasantly surprised because food was delicious and fast. Prices are reasonable too.

Yakiniku Karubi Donburi

(A great way to end a meal. This tasted fresh.)

White peaches are available.

The owner went to our table to check if everything was alright... which I highly appreciate. I look forward to another visit to try more of their specialties.

Comfort food @ Sugi

For over 20 years, Sugi has been one of the family favorite restaurants. We've been eating here since the 90's. Going back to memory lane, Sugi during that time was located near the stairs (which is currently in Greenbelt 5). Im sure some of you will remember those stairs were in between Pancake House and Dulcinea. Quality has been constantly good all these years, which is why we love it here.

This eggplant appetizer is our favorite.

California Maki (Special)

Kani Sarada

The California Maki and Kani Sarada are great with extra Japanese mayo.

Mini Agedashi

Chicken Terriyaki

Chicken Yakitori

Gindara in foil

Shrimp Teppanyaki

Other recommendations:
Tonkatsu (or Torikatsu if you want chicken instead of pork)
Katsu Donburi
Tori Kuwayaki
Chawan Mushi
Tempura
Okonomiyaki (Japanese pizza)
Ebi Tempura Maki
Tori Teba Nanbansuke
Uni Sashimi
Uni Maki
Tai Usuzukuri
Cha Soba

As you can see, a common favorite of the family is Japanese food. Food here is light, healthy and yummy. This is definitely comfort food.

Refreshing Red Mango

I recall browsing at my friend's Facebook and found several pictures of frozen yogurt with assorted toppings. I learned those pictures were taken in Red Mango. Lucky for us, Red Mango came to town with several branches in Manila and one in Cebu. It's creamy and just right, not too sweet and no sour taste.

Toppings range from fruits, candies, cereals, etc.

Original with Mango and Muesli

Besides the combination above, here are some recommended combinations:

Original + Blueberry + Graham
Original + Mango + Graham
Original + Cheesecake + Mango
Original + Cheesecake + Blueberry
Original + Mango + Banana
Green tea + Mochi

Of course, to each is own, so feel free to experiment. Whatever flavor you choose, for sure you'll feel refreshed.

Oishi Inagiku

Inagiku is one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. It has been a family favorite for years. It's a privilege to eat here because it only happens once in a blue moon. We were all really excited to have the Sunday lunch buffet, so it was the best of both worlds... having delicious food and boundless portions.

Sushi galore

The inviting aroma of the Teppanyaki will surely call your stomachs.

Sukiyaki section

Love the chocolate fountain!

Desserts

Cotton candy

Teppanyaki ice cream
-I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

The family favorites:

Sukiyaki

Aburi Salmon Sushi*

Their steak is so good, this melts in your mouth.

Tempura

Their green tea ice cream is the best.

Aside from the Aburi Salmon sushi, I enjoyed the other Aburi sushi.

Of course there's always room for dessert. I won't leave without their cotton candy and ice cream.

This macaroon tasted like Passion Fruit.

Thank goodness their was green tea to help settle our stomachs after the Japanese feast.

All I can say is everything here is fantastic! Quality has always been consistent. I assure you will leave full and happy.
