More desserts @ Lobby Cafe Fascino

There were days anything goes in our meals, meaning it's unplanned and just depend on the most interesting restaurant in the mall (of course that will vary just because to each is own). Although we all agreed to try out Lobby Cafe Fascino in Takashimaya. The place was packed and the desserts on display looked mouth-watering. Good thing we were still able to get a table after a few minutes.

Green tea and Vanilla ice cream
Creamy but not overwhelming. :D

Cheesecake
I love how Japanese cakes are light but as yummy as they look.

Coffee
I admit I was intrigued with the sugar stick because it was my first time to see it. How clever! ^_^

There's something about the desserts here that make you want to have more because it's so light and yummy. These gave us some energy for more walking and shopping. As always, we left with happy stomachs. ^_^

What's grilling @ Chibo?

As tourists, it's a natural thing to ask around for restaurant recommendations. One of those places was Chibo in Dotonbori. This isn't Italian, but a teppanyaki restaurant that specializes in Okonomiyaki.* However, we still ordered other items to give in to our curiosity. Teppanyaki is always welcome with the family especially for steak. Watch the video clips below to open up your appetites when you hear that sizzle. ;)

The finished products...

Until now I still can't believe the Okonomiyaki here isn't overwhelming at all.

We were amazed to learn a culinary student cooked our meals. The preparation and cooking was done with love and finesse, so each dish took time but it was worth the wait. All of these were consumed faster than a speeding bullet. :D Now I know why many tourists come here, which will include us too. To our family friend Katrina, it was nice meeting you and thank you for joining us for dinner. ^_^

The sweet works @ Fujiya restaurant

As we were walking by Shinsaibashisuji shopping arcade, we see Fujiya restaurant on the way, one of Japan's popular establishments. This is where you will find the popular candy brand, Milky the one with a picture of a little girl licking. As always, especially when you're on vacation... there's always room for dessert. :D

Parfait
My apologies I don't remember the exact name of this parfait. I'm glad Mom chose this since I don't recall the last time we had parfait. It's definitely a privilege to have soft served ice cream. Overall, this wasn't too sweet, just divine! Believe me when I say it's worth every bite. ;)

Strawberry shortcake
My favorite! Again, don't be overwhelmed with the cream because it's light. :D

Coffee
Japanese coffee is one of the best! The coffee is always strong, smooth and fragrant. ;)

If I had more room, I would have wanted to try their hamburger steak and candies too. I attached the link of Shinsaibashisuji shopping arcade below for more details since there's no official website. I hope there will be a next time here and will let you know. ;)

Okonomiyaki @ Takashimaya, Takoyaki @ Daimaru

My priority in Osaka was to have Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki. After getting settled and freshening up, we went to Takashimaya on our first day for a late lunch. Since it was a late lunch, everything and everyone already looked like food. My family chose to have tempura. As for me what  caught my attention was the Okonomiyaki restaurant that had a large banner of their specialty. It didn't have an English name but after some long thinking, I ended up there. It's a good thing there was an English menu, however, I did my best in ordering in Japanese... and it worked.

Okonomiyaki
I always order the one with pork and squid. This was so yummy and surprisingly light. :P

Avocado tofu
First time I've heard of such dish... refreshing and yummy!

Scallops
Another superb dish!

Takoyaki
At Daimaru, there was another one that I couldn't wait to devour... The famous Takoyaki. I took a chance when I saw a Takoyaki stand. Again... it was awesome... especially with Japanese mayo. ;)
