Slice again

     I wasn't hungry dinner time, so I wanted something light and yummy. I decided to go to Slice because they offer light and healthy items. I already tried some of their savory items, which my family and I enjoyed (click on this link to see my previous post). All I wanted for dinner were muffin and sandwich.

Morning Glory Muffin

     This is one of their healthy muffins. I love that it's moist and tasty!

     This has a citrus hint. I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

I ended up having coffee after all. I like that it comes with granola.

     I love their large servings! I look forward to trying the other muffins and desserts... especially the chocolate based ones.  :D

Big breakfast @ IHOP

     I love breakfast food! It's always a treat to have sunny side up eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and all the works. We took a chance at IHOP last weekend. It seems the craze is still ongoing because there was still a long wait for a table. Thank goodness our wait wasn't long and we were off for a big breakfast...

     We were happy with the food and service in general. I look forward to another visit, not necessarily for breakfast, but it would be nice to have breakfast food for lunch and dinner. :))

A nice escape @ Antonio's

     We were happy to have lunch at Antonio's in Tagaytay last weekend. It was such a treat to escape the unbearable heat of Manila for a while and have the best food. We usually go to Antonio's during dinner, but lunch is also good because you get to see everything. Going there was a breeze and it made us even more hungry. In the numerous times we've eaten here, food has always been fresh and delicious!

Coffee is strong... which is good.

     The menu makes some changes from time to time. The soup and sorbet vary.  We were happy there are ice creams already available. Each meal comes with either coffee or tea and I always choose the latter since I can only have it in Tagaytay. If you dine here, expect to have the best quality for both food and service.

Hanging out @ Cafe Picarre

     One of my favorite coffee hangouts in Baguio is Cafe Picarre. My friend, Willy was the one who recommended this place. I've eaten here a couple of times already, but the funny thing was, I forgot the name for some reason and was debating if it was Micarre, Vicarre, Bicarre, etc.  Although, I knew it was by the veranda of SM Baguio. We even went to all the floors looking for the place just to find out we missed it already. Good thing we found it! ^_^

I get overwhelmed with their menu because there's a lot to choose. ^_^

Carrot walnut loaf and Cappuccino

     The carrot walnut loaf was light and yummy! The Cappuccino has a mild flavor, perhaps because I requested decaf. 

     I love that it's by the view and you can feel the cool air coming in. As much as possible, I go to places I can't find in Manila while I'm there. I have always been curious with their pasta and crepe... hope I get to try those next time. :D

Japanese feast @ Izakaya Kikufuji

     Based on my previous posts, Japanese food is a common favorite of the family, whether outside or food from home. Izakaya Kikufuji is part of our comfort food list. I would say it's one of the most popular and authentic Japanese restaurants in town. It's hardly quiet, always full house. They have the largest variety of both cold and hot items. My brother, Dax says you won't leave there hungry... and it's true. :D

     In our experience, everything we ordered was delicious. There is complimentary iced coffee or Yakult for lunch. I suggest to make an early reservation because the place gets full, especially on Sundays.

Coffee time @ Kuppa

     We always have coffee after a meal, especially if it's a hearty one. One our way to one of our usual coffee places in the BGC area, I saw Kuppa from afar. I convinced Mom and Dad to have coffee there since it was already nearby. This is my second time here, but first time for Mom and Dad. I ate here before with my sisters and my nephew and we all enjoyed. 

Cappuccino

     Looks so cute! This had a creamy blend that was really yummy! One of the best cappuccinos in town.

Iced White Cloud Mocha

     I believe this was like a White Chocolate Mocha. This reminded me of Kopiko, which I think is a good thing.* This too was really yummy!

Brewed Decaf

     A common factor with their coffee is the strong flavor... which I love. Mom and Dad were just as impressed. I believe we'll be coming back here real soon. I look forward to trying their other items, particularly their pasta and dessert.

Our ice cream and chocolate fix @ Cafe Breton, Tagaytay

     Going to Tagaytay is always a privilege because it's 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from Manila, weather is cool, the view of Taal lake is relaxing and beautiful and there are several good restaurants there. I was happy we had our ice cream and chocolate fix (2 things I can't resist) in one of our favorite places, Cafe Breton. This is a  popular crepe place in the country that offers a large variety of savory and dessert crepes. Salads, sandwiches, ice cream and coffee are also available and are yummy too! Among all their branches, the Tagaytay branch is my favorite because of the cool weather and the view of Taal lake.

Going Italian @ L' Opera

     I miss eating here! This has been a family favorite for the longest time, when it was first located in Greenbelt, so this has been in our comfort food list since the 90's. A common item we look forward to is their pasta. There was never a disappointing moment. It was perfect timing when we had dinner here last Sunday because I was craving for Italian food.
