Mitsuyado Sei-men again

     We watched Kris Reali TV's feature on Mitsuyado Sei-men and Yamato bakery last week. We drooling as we watched Kris Aquino along with Kim Chiu feasting on each dish and had given positive feedback. The rainy weather also helped with our ramen craving. :P Without hesitation, we head here, which is our second visit (please see my previous post).

Cheese Sauce Tsukemen

     This is one of the specialties here and was one of the dishes featured in Kris Reali TV. This got me curious because of the cheese. This is eaten by pouring the cheese sauce over the noodles, then noodles should be dipped in the broth. To my surprise, it was an interesting and yummy blend.

     Chicken is tender and tasty. Not too oily, just right. Love it!

Gyoza

     As a result, there was no umay feeling after eating the Cheese Sauce Tsukemen and Chicken Katsu.* I look forward to another visit. ^_^

Ramen and cake @ Mitsuyado Sei-men and Yamato Bakery

     We heard and read several stories about a new ramen place with a different setting. We finally give in to our curiosity and try our luck at Mitsuyado Sei-men. We go at an off time time, around 1:30 pm to avoid the long wait. As we arrived, we were told there was a 15-minute wait... which was fine. We go and check out Yamato bakery while waiting. 

Mitsuyado Sei-Men

-Their ambiance is interesting and unique. Mom says this is a typical Japanese neighborhood by the street. When you see lanterns, that means ramen is being sold.

-These 2 ramens taste similar but both were good!

Thick noodles are used...

but you may request thin noodles.

(This reminds me of linguine... Hihihi!)

Yamato Bakery

-Seeing all their breads and cakes was overwhelming (in a good way) and mouth-watering.

-According to the staff, the Strawberry cake and Red Velvet cake are the best sellers. I can't resist Japanese Strawberry cake!

5 cravings in the rainy weather

     For the past week, the rain has been non-stop. The gloomy atmosphere just gives that sleepy and inactive feeling. The good thing is we're spared from the hot and humid weather that we're used to. The rainy weather just makes you want to get warm and cozy with these steaming hot treats...

1. Champorado 

(Cocoa rice porridge usually eaten with tuyo and milk.)*

(Cooked gata with tapioca pearls, banana, kamote, langka, ube and galapong.)*
